This illustrated infographic was made for Save our Seas social media for Shark Week, and to accompany an in-depth article on their dedicated shark website, World of Sharks unpacking the critical role sharks and rays play in aquatic ecosystems.
The infographic was a synthesis of the latest scientific understanding of the roles sharks and rays play in ecosystems. To make the information feel intuitive and easy to engage with, I chose a familiar comic book format that both enables graphics to say a a lot with minimal copy, and represents the idea of time and space without further explanation needed.
